WAYS TO GET INVOLVED... Here at Northwest Pride we want to develop our volunteer base. Volunteering is a great way of getting to know people as well as a big help to the smooth running of Pride! As the year goes on, you can also be involved in other events and activities, including events in your own area. For our 2009 Pride festival, there are lots of opportunities, including... CARNIVAL COSTUME WEARERS Walk the Pride Parade in one of the beautiful carnival costumes designed and made by artists Cillian Rogers and Imelda Peppard. There will be people to help you into the costumes and to make-up and a steward will guide you through the streets. Get in touch now to book your place! PARADE STEWARDS That all-important safety role - & you get your own reflective jacket, too!! PROGRAMME & POSTER DISTRIBUTORS You can put these in libraries, shops, community centres, post offices, whever you think people will get to see them., Distribute either in an area near to you, or if you prefer, one you have easy access too. The more places we become visible, the more LGBT people will get to celebrate too!
